U.S. Pacific has become its Asia Pacific regional distributor, selling non-woven products produced from Ingeo biomaterials.

This is an important move for Ingeo bio materials to enter the non-woven market.

At the meeting, a number of companies published new progress report on the application of Ingeo materials in the field of non-woven fabrics.

Ingeo biomaterials are made from plants instead of oil. They are renewable.

It is made of raw materials.

Compared with the production of traditional petroleum raw materials, its production process consumes less fuel and reduces greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, which is more environmentally friendly and more energy efficient.

Many companies use Ingeo biomaterials on their products, such as Canon multifunction printers, Fujitsu and NEC computers, Coca Cola Co's new water dispensers cup, Target's brand Archer Farms's fresh food and cooked food containers.

The application of Ingeo biomaterials will expand to the field of non-woven fabrics.

Dr. Larry Wadsworth, chief technology officer of Maya Nonwovens Industry Co., Ltd., said: using the Biax melt blown production line of Biax-Fiberfilm company, the wet napkin made of mixed materials of Ingeo and PHA through melt blown method not only prolonged the shelf life of the paper towel, but also strengthened its degradation ability in river water and soil.

Doug Brown, President of Biax-Fiberfilm, said their melt blown production line showed excellent performance in Ingeo processing.

Ahlstrom, the world's leading nonwoven company, produces spunbonded nonwoven products with Ingeo as its main raw material.

Ray Volpe, the company's chief technology officer, said: "the spunbonded nonwoven fabric is superior to polypropylene in terms of cutting, dirt resistance, flame retardancy and scalability, as well as tensile strength, dyeing ability and surface tension.

He said the company is expanding the application field of non-woven products, including the top and bottom fabrics of diapers, plant protection materials and soft decorations.

Larry Wadsworth, chief technology officer of the Asia Pacific nonwoven company, said: "it is in view of the excellent performance of Ingeo in the field of non-woven fabrics and the great potential for development in China and other Asian countries that we have decided to sell Ingeo bio materials in the Asia Pacific region."
