Ma Mingyuan, chairman of Chongqing Textile Industry Federation, said at the scene that the reason why Chongqing's textile and garment industry was quiet for ten years was that the problems and contradictions were outstanding, mainly due to the small scale of the industry, the small brand influence, the scattered industrial distribution, low aggregation, imperfect matching and lagging behind of the public service platform.

In recent years, under the influence of the "Chongqing textile industry development plan 12th Five-Year", Chongqing's textile industry has been developing rapidly.

It is understood that by the year 2012, the total economic volume of Chongqing's textile industry ranked third in the western region, and the clothing industry ranked second in the West.

According to Ma Mingyuan, Chongqing textile and garment industry structure has been further optimized, and brand cultivation has achieved some results. At present, there are 41 clothing brand products and five major brands.

The construction of industrial base has achieved initial success.

In the next five years, the five major industrial bases will invest more than 20 billion yuan, and the new sales revenue will reach 50 billion.
