On the evening of June 27, on the American Square in front of the Canadian National Pavilion, the Canadian band of the Great Migration started with a clear violin sound, and kicked off the 6-day "Celebrating Canada Day on the Square" activity with tap dancing and rock music.

The Grand D é migration band is from the Bay of St. Mary, a French speaking area in southwest Nova Scotia, Canada, and was founded in 1998. This group, composed of four musicians and one dancer, draws on the strengths of others and uses various kinds of music as the source of creation. Over the past 10 years, the Great Migration Band has held 750 concerts, released 5 albums and won 2 East Coast Music Awards.

At the performance site of the Expo Park, the audience can hear the convergence of French songs, Celtic music, rock music, folk songs, Broadway musicals and other elements, and feel the customs of the "country of maple leaves" on the other side of the ocean.

July 1 is Canada's National Day, and has also been designated as Canada's National Pavilion Day of the Shanghai World Expo. It is reported that in the next few days, tourists can enjoy colorful cultural and entertainment programs from Canada every night. The Canadian pavilion side expressed the hope that such a relaxed and joyful performance can shorten the distance with tourists, and at the same time, visitors to the Expo Park and the Canadian people can feel the festive atmosphere of Canada's National Day and National Pavilion Day together.
