Fashion designer Chen is known as "magician in store" in the fashion world. It originated in the United States in the late nineteenth Century and is quite mature in the West.

The profession of visual division is called VMD in Japan.

This concept is very common in the United States, second only to the words "marketing" and "policy plan". VMD is defined and conceptualized and spread to Japan.

In Japan, because the "display" has been omitted as MD (Merchandising), the word "visual display" has been used as the front of the MD plus V (visual).

Nowadays, VMD is popular all over the world no matter whether it is a concept or a new word.

In Japan, VMD as a profession, its management and training are very systematic.

For example, if you want to become a visual master, you can become a powerful weapon to get this kind of occupation by participating in the regular national examinations held by the Japanese VMD Association every year.

This system has been implemented since 1986. After ten years in 1995, the number of qualified persons in grade one or two has exceeded 1000.

From March to September of 1998, the examination level increased from the original level one or two to the third level. Those who are graduating from universities, colleges and vocational schools in VMD related disciplines can take the exam in the final year of the school.
