The antibacterial and deodorizing finishing methods have great limitations, and the range of their adaptation is narrow. It is chemically combined with hydroxyl and amino groups of fibers, and its durability and safety are good. At present, the agents used for antibacterial and deodorizing textiles include inorganic systems, metal systems that can be coordinated with fibers, quaternary ammonium salts of organosilicone, guanidine, phenols, copper compounds, and natural substances. The representative variety of inorganic antibacterial agent is antibacterial zeolite. It uses ion exchange function to fix silver on the framework of zeolite with ionic bond, and then mix the zeolite in about 1% ratio in spinning raw liquid such as polyester and nylon, which can melt spinning, giving fiber antibacterial property. The representative varieties of organic antibacterial agents, such as eighteen alkyl two methyl ammonium chloride (nickname DC5700), are fixed on the fiber surface by impregnation or dip rolling treatment.
