Today, we announce the progress of the special action against the infringement of intellectual property rights and the crime of counterfeiting and selling fake commodities.
To carry out "sword" action for more than a month, has cracked more than 670 cases, the value of 800 million yuan.
Meng Qingfeng, director of the leading group of the "sword sword" special unit of the Ministry of public security and the director of the Bureau of economic crime investigation, said that the key point of the "sword" action is to infringe on copyright, trademark, patent and plant variety rights, infringing intellectual property crime, and producing and selling fake and inferior commodity crimes.
Among them, we should crack down on the following 8 kinds of criminal activities: printing and copying pirated publications, CD-ROM, software and counterfeiting registered trademarks; crimes of counterfeiting international and domestic brands; manufacturing and selling counterfeit and shoddy medicines, food, agricultural products and other commodities; making use of the Internet to spread pirated films and television works, selling counterfeit and shoddy products; p regional and pnational crimes; professionalization, gangzation and scale crime; crimes related to commercial bribery and other crimes; other serious crimes with serious effects.

"676 cases of infringement of intellectual property rights and counterfeit and inferior commodities have been cracked up in the operation. The value of the crime was 835 million yuan, 342 of the counterfeiting dens were destroyed, 166 of the wholesale sales groups were destroyed, and 1586 suspects were arrested.
These cases involve food, medicine, clothing and accessories, auto parts, electronic products, pirated compact discs, agricultural materials and so on.
Meng Qingfeng said that in order to intensify the crackdown, the Ministry of public security decided to classify the 50 major cases in the cases investigated by public security organs as the first batch of cases to supervise and handle the cases of "bright sword" and ensure that lawless elements are punished by law.
In the next stage, the public security organs will focus on combating the crime of pirating and selling fake and shoddy tobacco, food, clothing and other consumer goods during the new year and Spring Festival.
