At present, the management mode of the textile industry is mostly the management mode of modern large enterprises, so professionals who understand both professional knowledge and management are needed. It is also mentioned in the "Twelfth Five Year" development plan of the textile industry that it is necessary to build an industry leading talent team. This team should have a global strategic vision, market pioneering spirit, management innovation ability and a sense of social responsibility, which puts forward higher requirements for talent construction in the industry.
When talking about the education of textile specialty, Ni Yangsheng stressed that textile education should be carried out according to the educational laws. For example, many years ago, some old scholars and experts in the domestic textile industry, referring to the development route of foreign textile industry, and based on the current situation of domestic textile education at that time, proposed to set up non-woven materials and engineering majors in domestic textile universities. In 2005, Donghua University and Tianjin University of Technology set up this major as a pilot, and then promoted it in national textile colleges. The cultivation of talents needs a certain period.
