Stuffy shoes are often a breeding ground for bacteria, especially for sweaty feet.

The US Shoe Care Innovation has developed a high quality product.

Sterilized shoes

SteriShoe, the product can eliminate up to 99.9% of the bacteria, fungi and viruses that lurk in shoes.

At present, the company is planning to introduce the 2 version of bactericidal shoes, which can be removed from the UV sterilizer.

Shoe Care Innovation, headquartered in reed wood City, California, launched a fund-raising campaign on the Kickstarter crowd raising website to raise $60000 to produce 2 version of UV sterilizer, which has already raised half of its funds.

The company said that it has been clinically proven that the product can eliminate up to 99.9% of the bacteria, fungi and viruses that lurk in shoes. The bacteria will disappear in 15 minutes under the irradiation of ultraviolet C light.

According to the survey, some people can produce half pint of sweat a day. If the environment in the dirty shoes does not change, they will infect the fungus again.

"The first time I heard about this might be disgusting. Most people don't want to know what's in the shoe."

Adam Ullman, the founder of Shoe Care Innovation and inventor of the product, said in an interview.

Ullman's father came up with this idea because he was suffering from foot fungus infection.

The family owns a lighting enterprise, so it knows more about ultraviolet light, and the UVC lamp has been sterilizing in hospital wards for decades.

In 2006, Ullman founded the company and launched the first generation of products in 2008.

The price of the product is still $130.

The second generation will be on sale in December, with a price of $150 per pair.

Five watt UVC lamps kill microorganisms by sterilizing.

Ullman said, clinical proof.

It can effectively remove bacteria.

The sales of sterilized shoes have exceeded 80000 pairs.

At present, Shoe Care Innovation has obtained seven patents.

It is a product that combines many innovative technologies and intellectual property rights. It has been recommended by more than 1000 doctors and has been recognized by the American foot Medical Association.

The new product has been improved by the client's suggestion.

The disinfection time of the previous generation was 45 minutes, while the new product was only 15 minutes, and it also had fans with dry shoes.

UVC lights may be dangerous because the company has taken some safety measures.

Only in the dark environment, the sterilizer began to work.

This means that it has to be placed in shoes or black shoes bags.

"Our patented technology comes from the protection of our customers."

Ullman said.

Of course, customers can also buy sprays instead, but they often contain highly toxic chemicals.

Shoe Care Innovation currently has five employees, and its design work is outsourced to other companies.

Industrial design is cooperated with Middlecott Design, headquartered in Detroit, and the processing of electrical engineering is carried out by Mdesign, headquartered in Singapore.
