Several Ways To Measure Your Job Satisfaction
Experts define job satisfaction as "a person's pleasure or positive emotion from his work or work experience recognition". If you are not satisfied with your current job, how do you decide when to move forward? The following eight ways can help you decide whether you are keeping your present job or looking for a better platform.
1 enjoy
Do you enjoy your work? Is your job challenging and meaningful? Can you satisfy your needs and pay high returns? Do you expect to work every day? Can this job bring you new opportunities and unique experiences? Do you use your professional skills in completing your work? If you answer all of the above questions, it may be the time for you to leave your present job.
Two Pay
Are you satisfied with your present income? When assessing salary, it is important to check all your income: wages, allowances, benefits, stock holding rates and other extra allowances are your income. For example, your salary is small, but you enjoy excellent benefits and other allowances, so your income will be balanced and not so bad. If you are not satisfied with your current salary, can you ask for a raise, seek promotion or negotiate extra benefits such as overtime pay?
Three pressure
Will your work bring you pressure? Do you suffer from insomnia at night due to work? If that's the case, assess the underlying causes of your stress and determine if there are ways to reduce stress. For example, you can hire an assistant to help you deal with your workload, and whether you can set up a better calendar system to remind you of the deadline of each job. Can you expose your questions to your colleagues or superiors? If the pressure has been lowered, your job satisfaction or pressure has already had an impact on your health, then you may have to change a new job.
Four work environment
The working environment has a great influence on your job satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with your current working environment, this will affect your attitude, productivity and performance. Judge whether your current working environment can be remedied by other means. For example, if you don't like colleagues who work with you, maybe you can be transferred to other departments. If your chair can cause back pain, maybe you can change a chair that fits the human body's design and comfortably. However, some working environments may be beyond your control. For example, do you work in an atmosphere of intense tension? Is your company shrinking? Do you have a difficult boss? In this case, perhaps the best solution is to find a new boss.
