AI Overcome The "Bottleneck" Problem Of Textile Industry

At the summit, Guangdong industrial intelligence innovation competition, jointly organized by the Guangdong provincial government and Ali cloud, brought more than 3000 top AI talents from well-known universities and enterprises at home and abroad to challenge the textile industry's "necking" problem. The competition first provided the industry's first open high quality fabric defect data set, and developers used the deep learning method to design a special defect detection algorithm model. The overall accuracy rate was over 91%, which is undoubtedly a great breakthrough for the intelligent upgrading of textile industry. In addition, in the field of cloth cutting competition, a large number of excellent research results have emerged, and the average utilization rate of fabrics has increased by 2.21%.

The textile and garment industry is only a microcosm of Guangdong's "digital infrastructure" for new manufacturing. Made in China, looking at Guangdong and heading for a new era, the industrial Internet is the "digital infrastructure" created by industry intelligence. Cloud computing, Internet of things and AI have become new engines of Guangdong's manufacturing development. Alibaba Group official said, "we hope to help the factory turn from the original single point to the whole industry chain, the full value chain and the integration of all elements, and turn it into a digitalized and intelligent factory and bring intelligence to industrial products."
