According to reports, on January 13, the U.S. government issued a ban once again, citing "forced labor" as an excuse to completely ban Xinjiang's cotton and tomato products, after Britain and Canada also said they would take measures against China's "forced labor" related products.

At a press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce on May 14, Gao Feng, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, responded that the United States and other individual countries, based on false information and fabricated lies, restrict the export of Xinjiang products and suppress Xinjiang institutions and enterprises. This is a gross interference in China's internal affairs, which China firmly opposes. China has always opposed forced labor, which is explicitly prohibited by China's relevant laws.

Gaofeng said that Xinjiang's cotton, tomato and other products play an important role in the supply chain of the global related industrial chain, and the restrictive measures will have a destructive impact on the security and stability of the global industrial chain supply chain and block the recovery of the world economy. China strongly urges the countries concerned to stop their mistakes immediately. At the same time, China will take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
