UNIQLO Established The First Brand Status In East Asia, Sales Increased By 20% Over The Same Period Last Year.

According to the recent earnings report of Japan's fast marketing company, the combined net profit of UNIQLO in fiscal year 2015 (from September 2014 to August 15) is expected to grow by 34% over the previous year, reaching 100 billion yen.

Thanks to the active opening of stores, overseas business has driven the overall profit growth.

Domestic business is also expected to increase revenue growth under the promotion of unit price and customer growth.

  

 

If net profit breaks through the 100 billion yen mark, fast retailing will become the third largest retailer in Japan's retail industry, behind Seven&I's 7-11 convenience store and DAIEI.

It is expected that sales will increase by 16% over the same period to 1 trillion and 600 billion yen.

In China and South Korea, the popularity of UNIQLO has increased and sales in Asia have been expanding.

Shops opened in Germany and Australia in April also performed well.

Ryui Masa, chairman and chief executive of the press conference, said that "the status of No. One brand in East Asia has been established".

2015 fiscal year plans to open 200 stores overseas, to the end of the fiscal year, the number of overseas stores will reach 818, approaching the number of shops in Japan (844).

In addition, Japan's domestic uniqe business continued to grow.

Sales of existing stores increased by 20% over the same period in September.

Okazaki Ken, chief financial officer (CFO), said, "the number of customers and consumer per capita in fiscal year 2015 is on the rise."

Plans to increase sales of existing stores by about 3.5% over the same period last year.

The combined settlement data released in 9 fiscal year 2014 showed that the net profit calculated by Japanese Accounting Standards decreased by 14% to 78 billion 100 million yen compared with the same period last year.

Although UNIQLO business has achieved an increase in revenue, fast sales are upscale in the US.
