The Tod 's group saw a bright future for the company. After the first quarter of 2014, the performance of the Italy luxury company is expected to improve by the end of 2014, and a single digit growth in 2015.

It is reported that the above view is expressed by Emilio Macellari, chief financial officer of Tod s group, at the recent Luxury / Finance summit held by the Milan stock exchange.

The wholesale channel adjustment carried out in Italy in 2012 allowed the Tod 's group to reduce its wholesale sales by more than 40%. Although it has considerable negative effects in the short term, it is conducive to the long-term development of the company.

Tod 's has opened about 15 new outlets every year and has played a good role in promoting sales.

Emilio Macellari also confirmed that Hongkong, which occupies 10% of the group's sales, has shown a good momentum. "Although we see the adverse factors caused by the turmoil in Hongkong, we firmly believe that the company's performance in the second quarter will be better than that in the first quarter. During the turmoil, our sales in the Greater China region continued to grow. "

Comprehensive acquisition French brand Roger Vivier is an important plan of Tod 's. It has owned and licensed the production and distribution of the brand since 2011, and the brand usage fee is about 2% of the wholesale sales. The franchise will expire in 2016.

Roger Vivier In 2013, it contributed 113 million 700 thousand of the euro's total operating income of 967 million 500 thousand euros, and gained 59 million 800 thousand euros in the first half of 2014.

"Roger Vivier is the group's most profitable brand. We are currently assessing the possibility of acquiring it, because its accession will be of great benefit to the interests of the group. Negotiations on acquisitions will begin in January 2015, "explains Emilio Macellari." if the group fails to continue to use Roger Vivier, it will lose a large part of its business.

The owner of Roger Vivier brand is nobody else. Tod 's The founder of the Della Valle family Private Companies, the Tod 's group's CEO is currently one of the two brothers of Diego Della Valle.

Tod 's group also controls brands such as Hogan and Fay.

The group is also ambitious about the future of Hogan brand. The luxury sports shoes brand is the second largest source of revenue for Tod 's' group. However, it only focuses on the domestic market in Italy and has recently experienced a decline in sales. In the first quarter of 2014, operating revenue accounted for 104 million 500 thousand of the total euro area income of 477 million 700 thousand euros, down 6.1% from the same period last year.

Group CFO said, "the brand has not yet shown its full value, and it still has great potential for growth. It has a larger market than Tod 's and Roger Vivier brands. Considering the decline of Hogan wholesale volume and its internationalization and electricity supplier, the brand will continue to develop. If Hogan brand can achieve the same success as the Tod 's brand, it will earn 7-8 billion euros in ten years, not just 200 million euros a year now.

But anyway, it is a difficult topic to separate Hogan brand from the group at present. It is just a long-term idea of Diego Della Valle.
